Default solid cel... is my ecu bad?

I just finished my h23 head swap onto a f22 block. I got a basemap from a buddy and burned a chip. When I started the car I had a cel, so I turned the car off and checked the code. I thought it was a code 78, but that doesn't exist. So I thought I would try another chip just to see if that helped. So I burned another chip and started the car. I forgot to un-jumper the connector for the cel so I shut the car off and turned to car to the on position to try to recheck the code. This time it was just a solid. I undid the jumper for the cel and reset the ecu and the car will still start and idle, but it won't rev past 3k. So now it's in limp mode with a solid cel. The ecu is a chipped p75 running uberdata. Do you think the ecu is bad since I started the car with the jumper connecter?

try burning another chip and test it out. also if you can get your hands on another ecu that would probably be the best way to determine if your ecu has gone bad, but i don't see how using a jumper would have messed up your ecu. perhaps the second chip you used is bad?

Starting the car with the jumper connection will not make the ecu bad. but maybe they messed up when soldering in the board.

i used the ecu for a year when i had the f22 turbo'd so i know it worked fine before. since this happened i have tried 2 other chips and nothing. only get a solid cel and limp mode.

another bump?

what happens when you try to check the code? is it possible you interfered with other parts of the ecu when installing/removing the chips?

when i check the cel code, it is just solid... nothing inside the ecu has changed except the chips themselves.

try the ecu in a different car. or try a known good ecu in your car.

figure out if its your car or your ecu.

Probably a bad rom, bad connection to the rom (socket), or a problem with the modifications to the ECU done when it was "chipped" (bad soldering).

or it could be the program on the chip, are you sure its written for the right ecu? if you put a p72 program in a p28 it will do this.
