Default Please help! with Vtec question for f23 motor

I'm getting a P1259, with accelleration only possible to jsut under 4000 Rpm's, basically until Vtec would normally kick in. For hte first few minutes running it wont do this, but then the problem kicks in. I suspect this is due to oil pressure coming up to 50 psi, and the problem is the Vtec oil pressure switch not working properly. ( I've done some research to arrive at this conclusion) What would be helpful is if someone has a diagram to help me locate this switch to maybe clean it or check it with a Voltmeter. Please help!
By the way I have a 98 Acura CL F23 motor (manual)
- and yes I have plenty of oil in the motor, I know that is a common problem/sloution to this CEL code.-

The pressure switch has continuity with the engine off.

I don't have the wire diagrams for your car, but have you pulled off the VTEC solenoid and checked that the filtering screen isn't clogged?

I just got it back from the shop friday, and it's going back in about 10 minutes. As soon as I find out the exact problem and fix, I'll post it to hwlp everyone else who may have similiar problem- I just had to do my own research because I feel the mechanic doesnt know honda's too well, and I want my car back sometime this century-

Also just wanted to say thank you for the help- you guys on this site seem to know your stuff. I know i'm fresh here, but everytime I google a symptom, I often end up at your site to find the solution.

I am a regular at Acurazine, and let me tell you, they are really only helpful if you want to read the same thread 20 times a week on whether or not some accord part will fit on our acura's- technical help is rarely answered-

Got my car back from the shop- they replaced the filtering screen to the oil pressure switch. It hepled but didnt fix it. Now it (vtec) works intermittently. The shop ordered this assembly of like 8 parts (couldn't order individual parts, apparently), and I'm getting it at cost with no labor fees. Not bad, but free would be better of course
