Starter
My starter seems to be going out on my F20a. When i go to start the car it takes about 10 to 15 seconds to start. I use to think it was only because the car was cold but it turned out to happen even after the car had been driven around the town. Anyone know were i could get a new one or what i could do?
Could you maybe explain the problem a little better?
Do you mean that you turn the key and it takes 10-15 seconds for the starter to start cranking the engine?
For schematic purposes could you say what year your Accord is? I promise no one here will laugh at you for having an older car.

It takes about 10 to 15 seconds trying to crank over. Sometimes it trys cranking over then it just quits and i have to try over again but the second time it starts right up. I dont know why it does that. My car is a 93 lx sedan. Why are you asking for my year when your post says not to??

LMFAO!!! welcome to H-T...I can tell your gonna be a smart one!
Anyway, as for your problem. If the car is cranking over for a long time then starting, it may be a weak fuel pump. try cycling the key a few times before starting it. And by cycling the key, I mean, turn it from off to on a few times, without cranking it. This will prime the fuel pump, and will help build up fuel pressure. If you cycle the key 2-3 times, and it fires on the first crank, then you need a new fuel pump, or the fuel filter may be plugged.
try that, and then let us know what happened

Damn dude your smart. I turned the key not cranking it about 2 or 3 times then the third time i went to crank it and it started right up. Where can i get a fuel pump? What would cause the fuel pump to go out like that?
