Diff. between the J98+ Spec JDM B18C5 and the USDM B18C5??
I was looking around on HMotorsonline at swaps and I see they off 2 versions of this engine. One's $4950 and the other is $4500... Aside from the Compression difference what else is there between the usdm and jdm motors?
brother.... this has been covered a million times, do a search and you will find your answer
If for some reason you don't find your answer, pm me and i will fill you in on anything questions you may have.

Well then I must not know how to use the search function cuz everything I type in to be searched it comes back with "no results found" what am I doing wrong?

The gearing and final drives are different too 4.78 vs 4.4 for the USDM trannies. I think the cams in the JDM motor are slightly more aggressive and similar to CTRs. HP is rated at 210 for the JDM motors. Hope this helps.</TD></TR></TABLE>
The USDM 00/01 had identical cams as the CTR. The exhaust cams where always the same, even on USDM the 97/98 but the intake cam was replaced to a more aggressive one identical to the CTR one. The JDM 96/97 spec ITR trannys were identical to the USDM ITR trannys. The 98 spec (and up) trannys had a 4.785 final drive, along with GSR 4th and 5th gears. The JDM B18C engnes were rated at 200whp. 5 whp more then the USDM counterparts.
Along with a different better flowing header, higher compression pistons, slightly different ecu, no 2nd o2 sensor, and the vtec solenoid does not have a pressure switch.
