Default rebuilt h22a built head

I have been driving this rebuilt engine for about 3,000 miles now and it seems like it's burning oil more and more...it's usually at high rpm.........I know oil rings is usually what causes this but is their anything else that migh cause it to burn oil a high rpm it's just hard to believethat it might be the rings!!!

here is my set up:

stock block
new rings
used same pistons and rods
new bearings
used crankshaft

head:

crower stage 2 cams
crower springs and retainers
port and polish
stock valves [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

rings. or a messed up block (warped) cylinder walls.
take your block apart and have it decked and honed, bored and sleeved, whatever it is youll find out if you take it to a machine shop.
or just sleeve it anf get some aftermarket pistons.
thatll do ya good

Oil comsumption is caused by oil from the crankcase or cylinder head going into the combustion chamber and burning. What are the seals that block oil from going into the combustion chamber ? Valve steam seals and your piston rings.

My first guess would be your rings didnt seat correctly for some reason. Improper break in or installation probably. Did you hone the block ? But dont go pulling the motor apart yet. Do a compression test and leakage test first and see how your results are.

proper break in methods include going to the dyno the day you start it. Hard breakins put more pressure on the rings and make them seal better. Better ring seal = more power.

Well, I have search and searched and this is what I came up with...........when I rebuild my block again which thats probably what I'm going to do....I will not break it in hard....... until I get it dyno tuned, might start it up and drive it for 100 miles and rev it to 3 rpm for 5 minutes and then 6rpm after 100 miles and of course oil change after the first 30 miles and then after 100 miles

What you guys think about this?

Do a compression check and leakdown. If you're still losing oil after a bottom-end rebuild. The next place to turn to would be the valve seals.
