2000 Civic EX, Dark Green, 5sp, ~106k, Excellent cond. but salvaged, California (San Diego)
Sorry about the pictures, weather here has not been favorable recently. As you can see the current wax job causes the water to bead up vigorously, demonstrating how well taken care of this car has been. Vin number happily supplied, email me directly bored_in_tokyo@hotmail.com, as I hardly ever check my messages here!
I live in San Diego, and I am selling my old daily driver. It's a 2000 Civic EX with 107k, 5spd, power everything, si wheels, dark green, basic, reliable, daily driver. Car has been effectively evicted from the garage by my new S2000. Car had a salvaged title when I bought it, theft recovery, not too much damage done. It's not missing anything. From what I can tell, the rear passenger side quarter panel was repaired or replaced and the rear re-painted, but they actually did a NICE job of it. No orange peel or faded paint. All of the panels line up perfectly, there is no road noise, or shaking wheels, or any other horror stories you hear about theft recoveries. Furthermore, I had the car aligned at Pacific Honda here in San Diego, and it is well within spec on all four corners (we can throw it up on the rack again if you want to see, because I lost the report!).
Other minor damage are the dents on the underside where the thieves left it on blocks. They aren't bad, but I figured I would point them out to those who will nit-pick. I'm a picky person by nature, if this car made funny noises, or the panels did not line up, or there was orange peel on the paint, or an alignment problem I would not have bought it for daily driving. Oil changed as scheduled, no modifications done, bone stock always (wheels excepted of course).
All electronics work, nothing really missing from the car, AC blows cold, NO mechanical problems, no leaks, no check engine lights, no problems with daily driving or otherwise. Interior is in reasonably good shape, forgive the picture, it was raining outside and there was mud on the floor. I promise it looks great when you clean it! Tires are all good except the rear passenger side, which I will replace for you, free of charge. Front wheel well splash guards are missing in the pics because Pacific Honda forgot to put them back on after they aligned the car! They will replace free of charge, and I will arrange it for you or do it myself for you. No one would ever know this car has a salvaged title, unless you told them.
Here are some Blue Book prices that I pulled from KBB.com
Excellent: $7580
Good: $6960
Fair: $6135
Obviously my $4500 asking price is quite reasonable, considering that the car is in better than "good" condition. I can be reached at 858-952-9175 or via email bored_in_tokyo@hotmail.com. PRICE IS FIRM, and is ridiculously low for this car despite the title. If I do not get my asking price, I will throw it on ebay and let people fight over it, and sell it for whatever it ends up at. Someone is coming by today to look at it, but I will keep the add up until it's sold.
