i have a first gen b16a cable and my problem is when the vtec kicks in the car lags and threw a code 12. i was wondering if the jdm codes are the same as usdm. and if anyone has a opinoin on why is lags your help will be greatful appreciated thanks

 

I doubt JDM and USDM codes would differ. As you probably know, the code 12 is the EGR system. A faulty EGR system could very well cause a lag.

 

i didn't think B16's had an EGR system. check your knock sensor.

anyone else got a clue ... info i have a jg head ported on intake and exhaust dc header jg throttle body but no injectors and stock civic fuel pump could i be detenating????????

 

if its giving you code 12 and that is egr valve just take your egr valve of and youll need to clean the little shaft thing. it should be free moving get all the crap off of it and make sure it moves freely. if it was your knock senser it would throw code 23 or 22 or 21. so do that to your egr valve and if that doesnt work tell me and ill give you one because i have a couple.
