I just recently replaced my fuel pump on my 92 honda prelude si. It worked great for a couple of days. Then it seemed as if the pump went out again. I checked the wiring and it wasn't getting any power to the put. i've ran a wire from the 12 volt switch and it is running for now. but i have trouble cranking it up in the morning, i have to press the gas to get it running.

 

Main relay?

^^Possibly. What kind of pump did you get? Where from? New/used?

Not to take it off topic, but I do have an extra Main Relay that I can sell you..

 

where would the main relay be and how would i fix it? would i have to replace?

 

The main relay is up behind the steering column. Do a search, there are loads of posts about how to re-solder the joints on it to repair.
