Default car won't start anymore.. help needed

well today was a crappy day.

i got stuck at the end of my driveway backing out over the snow/ice storm we had yesterday. while spinning my tires in reverse, i stalled and my car would not start back up. i left my car blocking one lane on a busy street.

the motor cranks, i have fuel. i don't have a compression checker but i'll get one as soon as i get another car here to use. any ideas what could be the problem?

let me know if u need anymore info.

try checking for spark first. then worry about compression

I highly doubt it's the coil, but maybe the module.

checked the compression 180 across the board (i assume this also means my belts are good). how do i check for spark? what's the "Module" you speak of?

That's the ignition module, or otherwise referred to as an ignitor. They are in the distributor and are rather easy to change.

coils like to go alot in hondas i have noticed.

but you can check for spark by unplugging cylinder # 1 from the spark plug, then stick any soark pllug in the wire and stick the plug next to a piece of grounded metal and have someone turn the car over. DO NOT TOUCH the wire, plug, or metal when doing this it will shock you. It doesnt hurt that bad although.
When the engine is turning over you should see it sparking.

I would also dissconnect the injectors so the car does not start, and load the cylinders up with fuel.

Problem solved. Bad ignition coil. I replaced the cap and rotor while I was at it, now it runs even better than before it broke.. haha
