d17a2 into a 91 lx
wondering how hard it would be to put a d17a2 into a lx sedan that has been converted to obd1 with a p72 chipped by jktuning (awesome ecu) . also would i need to convert it again to obd2 thanx.
Well, the mounts would have to be custom made, I don't the transmission bolt pattern is the same as the standard D-Series, and you would have to run an aftermarket EMS capable of running C.O.P. Did I mention you would be doing all this and still not be making much in the way of power past a D16Z6 or so?
it's impossible, the transmission is on the opposite side than what it is in that year car, and the engine spins the opposite way. I mean i guess it's not impossible, but it would require alot of custom work that isn't worth it. Plus the D17 is a really shitty engine anyway, they blow up. enough said.

ok just thought i would b getting a good deal but guess not. I found one for 400 with motor and trans with only 12k miles but i guess its not really worth it. Thanx
the engine sit the same like 91 civic doesnt have tranmission on driver side....dont know about the mounts but the swap is possible but not worth the hassle for so little horsepower.... i bought my wife a 2004 honda civic so i have seen the engine.....
