Default What Computer to use?

I hacve a factory 01 gs-r engine in a 96 civic hatchback cx, i am currently all motor right now but may boost the engine later on and i was wondering what would work best to run the engine regarding the computer. WOuld a fatory p72 work well or should i invest in a power fc or perhaps the e-manage? any info will be helpful thank you.

an obd2 gsr ecu is all you need. and if you want to tune later you can just chip it and tune it with uberdata or chrome.

Crome and Uberdata are OBD1 rom editors. And good luck chipping an OBD2 ECU.

To answer the question, either a stock OBD1 P72 or chipped P28 with P72 maps on it will be the ideal ECU if you are planning on boost down the road.

as the others have said...stock would be best right now.....that reminds me, I have a virgin obd1 usdm p72 for sale right now. Since your car is a 96, you'll need to get an obd2A-1 conversion harness to run this ecu though. Either way, you'll have to convert to obd1 as soon as you boost so you could tune.
