'85 prelude clutch problem
ok so i was driving low speed, about 40mph and i shifted to 4th.
i noticed my rpm was 5000 and only going 40mph in 4th is not regular.
shift back to 3rd and everythings fine. back to 4th. no problem.
I continued driving for about 10mins when i tried to hit 3rd gear, nothing there.
went back for 2nd, nothing there. and ever since it seems like the clutch is engaged 100% of the time, and wont get into gear no matter what.
ideas?

id hate to pay 700+ for new clutch flywheel and all that, when the problem is alot simpler then that.
because the clutch didnt slip weeks before. it went all in a matter of 15mins.
anyone had this happen or know whats wrong?

Oh wait never mind, I read more carefully...clutches can give out unexpectedly. My clutch never sliped before a bearing caused it to bite the dust.
Ok, i dont understand half the **** you just said. A good way to test to see if your clutch is slipping is, get to about 40 or so, get into 5th gear, then put your foot to the floor, if you rpm goes up without you going faster its a slipping clutch. Not being able to get into gear can be a messed up linkage, im not sure what the 2/3gen preludes had a shift linkage or cable. If you cant get into gear ie your grinding gears with your clutch in it could be your master/slave cylinder gone bad. Do you loose clutch pressure?
