flywheel
whats better for drag racing,a light weight flywheel or a OEM weight flywheel?the car is about 2400 lbs with me in it and ill be running slicks, traction bars and drag coil overs
Depends on how good of a driver you are is what i always say. The less weight will cause the engine to drop rpm quicker during shifts. So, if you can shift fast go with the light weight.
i dont take my foot off the gas when i shift in my camaro, but i dont know how well ill do in the honda sence i havnt had a chance to drive it yet.my plan is to set my rev limiter to 8100 and my shift light at 8000.i think i can shift fast enough to stay off the limiter.if not then ill set the light to 7900.
My rule of thumb is to go as lite as possible. Other people might flame me on this but this is my own rule of thumb. I don't care if it's Na, turbo or Supercharged. The more weight you can remove from the rotating mass will speed up inertia.
