ok so i degreased my engine for the first time, so i sprayed it on my engine and used a hose to water the whole engine bay off. that night when i drove, the car feels like its hesistating all the time, and there was a huge power loss. when i drove home, i have to use 4th gear to drive the highway at 60mph because of the loss of power. the engine sounds like a tractor/subraru kind of sound, and the rpm would dip very low and then stall.

that problem ended the next day, but today (i washed it on friday) the problem came back and it wouldnt stop. so i called a friend and he said to take of the cap, and dry the cap and rotor, and it didnt work. later on i dissconnected the battery, checked the grounds, take off all the spark plug wires and wiped them off (i took them one at a time so the firing order is not wrong). still nothing.


can anyone help me out? i have to use this car tomorrow and i want to frix it asap.


its a 94 civic with a D15b7, manual trans

 

what about the sockets the spark plugs sit in on the head, those could be full of water and would cause that.

 

nevermind.. i solved it (before crxcess replied) my buddy called me right after i posted the problem here and told me to wipe all the spark plugs with a napkin, and it worked. thanks crxcess for your reply
