I have a 92civic DX, engine's been replaced with a ZC 1.6l non vtec, and has about 130k. The car runs like a beauty except has power steering leak, which i got a new rack and pinion that i have to get replaced.

But my main problem is my battery keeps getting discharged. I thouight it might of been the battery, so i bought a new one, and it discharged that one aswell. I Highly doubt it is the Alternator doing it since i changed that about a year ago.

A mechanic said he changed my Alternator connectors?!?! Whatever that is, and claims he fixed the problem, but after installing a recharged battery it still seemed like it have very bad connection, and didnt start untill i gave it a boost.

I think the cables connecting to the battery need to be replaced, but i still have no clue what discharges the battery? Any advice?

Any way to identify or track down where that could possibly be?

disconnect positive and negative battery terminals. Breifly toutch them together to remove any charge any circuit may have.
place ohm meter on the terminals (pos-pos, neg-neg)
pull interior bulb and alarm power.

read ohms. Note close to zero ohms.
pull fuses till ohms jump up. trace that circuit till you find the problem.

 

stop leaving your headlights on....jk.............
