ABS Brake issue on 2000: Need help
My better half has a 2000 Accord. (4-cylinder 5-speed EX, if it makes a difference)
A couple of weeks ago, the ABS light came on and the brakes stuck on. She had it towed to a mechanic. They said it was 2 of the ABS/speed sensors, so they replaced them. A week later, the same thing happened. She took it back to them, and they replaced the other two sensors at no charge. It worked for about 2 days. Then this morning, we got in to go to breakfast, and the stupid thing did it again.
I was thinking maybe ABS pump or computer? I could understand the light coming on, but the fact that the brakes themselves hung up just seems strange to me.
Anyone have any suggestions?

did the place that replaced the sensors actually hook a computer up to it to see what the problem was?
The speed sensor send information to the ABS computer which controls the ABS motor, when the speed sensors don't match while braking, the ABS computer sends a signal to the ABS motor to release and apply brakes in a certain order to adjust for the locking.
It kind of sounds like there's some kind of malfunction with the computer or ABS motor, I wouldn't be able to tell without actually downloading the ABS malf codes, seeing what the ABS motor is doing and which wheels are locking up.

Sure with that info I can look for TSBs about your problem on the Honda ISIS website. Thank you, many people here get very mad if asked for "WHAT YEAR?"
As a rule the more info the better.
It would also be good if the shop told you what code led them to believe the sensors were at fault?
The brakes actually lock up?
Can you feel the brake pedal pulsing?
Edit; didn't find any good info about your problem.
Same size tires all around?
Do you get to 7mph?[ABS self check speed] before the problem happens?
It really sounds like a stuck valve in the ABS unit so far.

Thanks for the quick replies, guys. Much appreciated.
Concerning the code, the mechanic didn't tell her what the exact code was. I plan on calling them as soon as it gets there tomorrow AM and asking what the code is. When I find out, I'll post it up.
Or, if there's a way I can check it myself before then, let me know. If it's as simple as jumping a couple of pins on the OBD-II port, or even limping it down the street to AutoZone, I could do that.

UPDATE:
It went to the mechanic's shop yesterday. They said the light had gone off, and the car was fine. They drove it a bit, and said it didn't come back. However, I'm still skeptical, since it's been "fine" before, and then crapped out at an inopportune time.
I asked him what the code was, and he was shady about it, saying that since the light wasn't on, he couldn't check it. He said that the ABS computer doesn't store codes like the OBD-II computer does. This doesn't seem right to me at all. Is what he said true, or was he lying? If I take it to AutoZone and have them plug it in, would they be able to tell me what's up?
Thanks again, guys.
EDIT: HondaGuy-- I didn't notice your edit. I'll have to check if tires are the same size all around when she gets home. Her dad put 2 snow tires on the front for winter, but he's done that since he bought the car new in 2000 with no ill-effects to my knowledge.
I believe we get to 7+ MPH before the problem happens, but certainly no more than 20-30. I hadn't paid much attention to the exact speed, as I hadn't thought to...

Automatic 2000 accord jurks when shifting but it don't do it all the time I was told when I bought it the speed sensor needed replaced so I replaced the senor on the transmission and reset the engine light but it's still doing it and does it less when I reset the engine light but when it does it once it does it more frequently till I reset the engine light was thinking maybe a abs speed sensor is bad but my abs light don't come on but my break pedal does go to the floor after I make a complete stop while at a red light it slowly goes to the floor does anyone know if a abs speed sensor would be the cause of these problems even if the abs light don't come on

I'm sure I can but the only reason I didn't really believe that's where my issues are coming from is because my abs light dont come on I did some more research on it again today and I'm thinking that the problem is more likely one of the shift solenoids and maybe the breaks have there own issues going on like maybe the break booster the jerking only acurse while its shifting from 1st to 2nd and again from 2n to 3rd dont really do it going in to 4th but I'd appreciate your advice and feedback iv worked on cars since iv been 13yrs old but everything Iv learned is from having the issues in my past years so all advice is appreciated
That's why I was saying to disable the ABS and see if it still happens, which might lead then to a proportioning valve/master brake cylinder issue to check for next. You simply pull the fuse for the ABS to disable it.
Somtimes, if lucky, you can bleed all the brakes and it can correct the issue. But I think you need to disable the ABS first to make sure that's not the problem.
