Default h23 n/a and turbo

just got my 92 lude si like 3 weeks ago. i did a search on here for 4th gen 1/4 times but all i found were ones with h22's...what kinda of 1/4 time can i expect with a stock h23. also if i put on the drag 4 that is coming out this summer and boost about 9-10 pounds at the track what kinda time can i expect. My goal is to get atleast 250 hp to the wheels when my project is complete. is this highly possible wit a h23 or should i just save my money and get the h22??

when i ONLY had a turbo kit, exhaust, boost controller, and slicks on my h23a, i ran a 8.8 on the 8th mile before i ran the quarter, which should be good for high 13s.

I am glad someone out there has the same taste as I do. I also have a 92 lude. But I just droped some JDM pistons in her. And so far I am happy with the results..My next move is going to go turbo. I just not sure if that is a good idea since I have a much higher comprestion ratio. Since your going Turbo. Have you upgraded your brakes yet?

Do me a favour and let me know wht you find for your upgrade on your brake system. I haven't really look into it as of yet. But wht I am seeing, its hard to find rotor and calipers for the prelude. NO I didn't do any timing adjustment. Hmm now you got me woundering about my idle. Its been kinda weak. I wounder if the timing has anything to do with it..

Oh, I am not taking her on the track yet. I want to break in the pistons first. But I think I found my idle problem. I advanced my timing at 15 degress. OH home boy she is very purky.. so do you have anything else on your lude? I think my next investment is going to be 4 into 1 headers. And tips?

h23 turbo is great..... better than h22 turbo that's for sure.... had a friend running 9 psi on his stock internals (96 si) and it was making some good power.... go for boost if you can man

Before my ringlands went on my h23, I was making 270 whp at 10 psi. I never had a chance to take it to the track though, but I think that power would be good for low 13's, maybe high 12's if driven well.

I hit 15.7 with bolt ons in my Auto.
after 6psi it was dropped to 14.9
I dont think you'll be running 10psi too long on a stock H23

Well i was only running 7 daily but my motor still only lasted about a month before I lost some compression in one of my cylinders. I thought it would last longer since I had hondata, but I guess not. H series stock pistons are just weak, so now I am rebuilding.

Default h23 n/a and turbo

ok. with this set up will it be good for high 12's maybe high 11's at the track if tuned right:

drag 4 (when it comes out)
Nuformz block guard
440cc injectors
hondata 2b + 3bar map sensor
clutchnet stage 2 clutch
MSD 6BTM ignition
edelbrock intake manifold
aem fuel rail

with this i will probaly boost about 10-14 psi at the TRACK, will it be enough

if you are running a h23a you will not need a block guard, you have a closed deck block already. if you want high 11's, plan on dumping at least another $9-10k worth of engine parts in PLUS gutting out your car and losing p/s, a/c, and a few other goodies. with the parts you listed, you will be lucky to run low 13's. i highly doubt you will run 12s with this setup especially if you havnt rebuilt your bottom end, you might prove me wrong but i dont want to see you blow a motor while trying to do so. if you are interested, i am about to get a set of wiseco CUSTOM 9:1 25over pistons, i can hook you up for 425 shipped with racing wrist pins. you will need to buy sleeves for your block though, i believe darton sleeves will run you about 200-400 for a set.

i was hoping to get low 13's with my setup. i wanted to try this setup for as long as it holds up. Then when something goes i was gonna replace and build the whole bottom end. but we'll see how things go.

i dont recommend boosting over 8psi on a stock motor, you can get away with 10 at the track on race fuel... but i wouldnt recommend it.
