I've been doing a whole nite research now, and thought I know quite a few thing about S, but still couldn't find a definite answer for which year S2k starts to have tweeters in the panel. I found this is pretty important because I might make use of it when I upgrade the sound system. Thanks

2002 was the year of major changes.

Tweeters in the door panel, covered center console, chrome rings around the tail lights, GLASS rear window, better radio.

Purists say the 2003 is the best year for the S2000 only because it's the last year of the original F20C motor and it was the year where they got all the bugs out of the car.

honestly i would go for the newer, i had an 02, and now i have an 04, the 00-01 are good if u bought it when it was new.

 

just stay old school 00-01? why not

it depends, i seriouly don't care about the little stuff, come on, like the tweeters is really going to help with the 2 speakers system

plus, less weight&gt;more weight

get one that suit you best

anyways, I kinda like it with tweeter, but I also like the red interior of 00-01. Another hard decision.

i'm thinking about that, but there is something else bugging me, there is no rear defroster! Even I get a newer top with glass, I still take many steps to make the defroster work (maybe easier to u guys). And also other minor stuff like the 02 transmission revised, enhanced A/C, enhanced ECU, and other cosmetic stuff. But god, I love that 00-01 red and black interior!

 

Coming from a car audio installer and expert....(me) OEM systems are garbage.....even the ones that have bose, or other aftermarket systems installed. Yes, they are better than average....but if you really want good sound, its all about aftermarket, mounted in stock locations.
