iam buying a 2001 s2000 and i was wondering if anyone has had any problems with that year any recalls or anything related? any info would be appreciated
Other than the rear window being crummy plastic...i havent heard any common complaints about any S2000's, much less a specific year outside personal things like interior room, lack of torque...no "problems" persay, just opinions.

It may have been for 2000. Also, there is the TSB 54 which is for the clutch buzz. It doesn't hurt anything. Its just that the noise is very annoying.</TD></TR></TABLE>

The only thing I know about that is negative w/ the 2001 is what I saw in Consumers Report. They gave red checks for the 2000 and 2002, but a black check for the 2001. The red is that the vehicle was above average by their survey of owners and recommended highly, and the black was below average by the same survey.
Hope that helps a little.

understandable, good luck!
understandable, good luck!
i just had the clutch thing replaced, clutch grabs well and no noise, other than the rear window being plastic i love mine. Actually the window doesn't even bother me because im getting the Hardtop and in the summer the top will be down anyhow
its a honda, so itll be pretty reliable and problemless..
but if something arises, take it to the dealership, the guy that sold me my S is always there to help, he even helped me with my taxes...jk'in..
but good luck with the purchase!

$2500-$3000 on average from what ive seen (painted)...they are hard to come by used for a good price because people usually grab them up before they even hit the market. Good luck with that man.
18k would be right from a dealership. oem hardtops are roughly 3k+. i suggest buying it from jeff at hardtopguy.com he has the best prices on the hardtops
