Default SRS question

i heard that if you put an aftermarket steering wheel and quick release that your SRS will not work for the passenger side...is this true? and if it is, is there anyway of making it work while having a quick release installed? i could live with hurting myself but having someone else get hurt riding along with me..

I have a QR on my car and never put my fuse back so my SRS light stays on. No one really rides with me and when they do they wear the seat belt. Besides Honda's are notorious for the air bags not deploying. Not sure if you can make it work though

jus messin what the srs sends to offbalance. your talkin about a system that works in about a 10tenth of second. Messin with it always changes the whole system

Hmm I really dont know either.. I had a non-SRS JDM SiR-G steering wheel a little while back but I put my stock one back on .. mainly because I didnt have a horn or cruise control but also because of the airbag thing.
But really if you think about it, seatbelts are 100x more important to have than airbags, although my EM1 airbags sure did help when I went into a pole

Search the archived ITR forum. This has been covered time and time again. There are simple parts you can get at any radio shack to keep the SRS light off and keep the system functional with a non SRS wheel.
