Bogging at WOT?
Hey fellas. I just bought another EG, missed my old one too much. Anywho, i've had it for about 4 hours now, and already am having troubles. Its a 95 CX with a 95 EX motor/trans/ecu in it. When i'm at WOT its feels like its underpowered, ive had fuel go out on me (old civic had a fuel cut switch, someone accidently flipped it) and thats what it feels like, but it only does it at WOT. First time I noticed it, I was in too high of a gear, so I just figured it didnt like being at that low of RPMs, then I was driving home, was in 2nd gear, WOT and it didnt start bogging till about 4500-5000rpm. Any ideas? Thanks
The ex motor is a 1.6l vtec motor correct?(Iam from canada so our modles are a bit diffrent)If this is happening when you hit vtec its possible that you vtec wires arent hooked up right. This would cause the car to add more fuel for vtec and then it doesnt kick on so it bogs the motor with to much fuel.
You might need a new fuel filter as well.

Yeah its a 1.6 VTEC (sorry for not specifying). Its a CX (in the US comes with 1.5 non vtec) so it could be possible they didnt hook up vtec? how could i check? ive had 3 civics, none with vtec. Thanks for the help so far!
Another thing, I got a CX ecu from my old car laying here, (P05), if i hooked that up, since its a non-vtec ecu, would that tell me if it was vtec or not? Like, would it not try to go into vtec, and if it still did it then it would be the fuel filter?
I checked (with the Offical ECU Pinout Thread) and I *seem* to have the correct wiring for VTEC, the orange/white and orange/blue wires exist, they go into the passenger side shocker plug, out of the passenger shocker plug, into the (i believe, i forgot to even look at what i was plugged into) distributer, or atleast somewhere on the passenger side of the engine. I didnt check to see if the was plugged into the ECU, but it doesn't even look like the wires were hacked, I talked to the guy I bought it from and he said it had a VTEC-E engine (VX) in it, so maybe the title is goofy and its actually a VX? Is there any way to tell other than the title?
With what I said, does this mean fuel filter? How hard is it to replace on this car?
