Default help me help me b16a swap has hit a fork in the road.

alright, i have my motor i have everything planned out except for air conditioning, i need a solution, i live in texas and i cant go with out ac. that being said i really dont want to spen 200 for a simple bracket.... out all the people with hybrid swaps on here what can i do?


also my motor has an air compressor on it, do i use mine or that one?

You can use the B16a AC compressor, but you will have to get new lines bent. You can use the Pr3 bracket, but you will have to redrill some holes to make the compressor bolt to it. If you can find a PWO ac bracket, you can get 2 bolts to line up with that one.

Duct tape..... J/K no i donno but i want to know too. BTW you live in OK or did you move??

Im moving to commerce texas outside of dallas next year and im going to need to switch my canadian heater for the AC unit some day.........

also what wiring changes am i going to be making???

knock sensor
vtec solenoid
o2 sensor

what is the 4th one? oil pressure?

what parts do you have now? i just got my jdm b16, has the bracket but no compressor.

ummm... you said your freon is leakin. u r aware thats not real safe rite. im not sure how to stop it but i wouldnt touch it or smell it.

no i didnt say that numbnutz, i meant it as how would i stop my freon from leaking if i disconnect the ac compressor.

I am swapping out the hf engine for the b16 also. im not sure if i want to keep air cond. in or take it out. I live in PA so i really dont have to have it...What are your suggestions. And i need to disconnect the refrigerant lines..but when i went to take them out. it started leaking frion--im guessing...should i just bleed the lines out and go inside.....thanks for the help..

you can't stop it from leaking. I would suggest to place a few rags over the bolt that holds the lines in, and then pull the bolt. You will hear it start to leak. Just do it outside and don't inhale it, or touch it
