New starter. Still will not start. :(
Ok I got the old starter out and put the new one and it still doesn't start. Any ideas what else could it be. Could it be the new starter I have is not the right one? The new starter I am using is for a 1990 CRX Si d16a6, but I have a DOHC ZC.
Battery is new and all of the light come on. Haven't checked the ignition switch yet. What wires are you refering to. Also I am perfect.
is the car atleast turning over?
if it is i would double check all of your grounds.
1. thermostat housing
2. valve cover to chassis
3. chassis to trans/ (negative battery cable)
4. fuse box on left shock tower
also double check your main relay
good luck

I'm going to say ignition switch. I don't have any details on how to test it or anything, but just the nature of the circuit is pointing to that part. Do a search on it.
does your fuel pump come on when you turn the key to the on position and also does somthing click? you can hear the pump prime the lines for 2 seconds (it will hum) and the main relay clicks. a common problem that causes this to not come on is a bad main relay.
was the motor running before? give some details if you can

Yes there is power. Yes you can hear the fuel pump. It ran fine and then I went to start it and nothing. No clicking or anything. So I push started the car and got it home and put in a new starter and still nothing.
????? No way it is hydro locked.
I had the car running when I jumped the solenoid. I am pretty sure it is the clutch interlock switch, but I can't figure how to get to it. Not enough room.

yup that switch is a bugger to get at...can you unplug the connector? cause if you can just jump the two pins and see itll start...by jumping hte pins you are bypassing the clutch switch...make sure hte car is out of gear...

If it's the clutch switch, three things may have happened. The switch itself has gone bad (rare), the little plastic stopper that is attached to the clutch pedal that depresses the switch has broken off (common), or your clutch pedal part of the assembly is broken and no longer contacts the clutch switch (moderately common). It takes a couple tries but you can reach it once you find it.
Yeah I was able to get to the switch and unplug it. Just unbolt the fuse box and it will give you enough room to unplug it.
Yeah I don't know where he figured hydro lock. I don't have a CAI and it hasn't been above 15 in like 10 days or so.

Junkyard for the switch I had the same problem took me like 1 week to figure it out then I rememberd about that switch.
Grab a couple its a common problem grab some for the brake light too.

Actually i've seen it happen it isn't random and being that the engine isn't starting and this person keep dumping more fuel into the cylinder everytime the key is being turned, it would be something to watch out for.

Do you know what hydrolock is? For it to be hydrolocked I would have to have had to get water in the engine. Since I don't have CAI and the car was never submersed in water. I really can't see how I hydrolocked it???

Also, if the motor had been cranking but not starting the exhaust valves would have been opening. Also may I mention the minute amount of fuel injectors squirt in?

I think he is thinking about flooding the motor.
