Default d16a6/d16y8/d16z6/d16a1

Has anyone ever done the mini-me swap with the z6 head, the y8 IM, and the a1 pistons...i read and i heard all qualities of each of these are best for this set up...just wondering if anyone has implanted these beefier pistons in and was the compression noticiable...and would this be good to boost...thanks

"and i've read all the faqs on mini me and stuff just trying to obtain a little more and see if anyone has done this"

That would give you 12.3-1 compression ratio.
YES you would notice this.
NO it would not be good for boost.

Siko...thanks so much do you know why it is unstable for boost i would figure the pistons are stronger, IM is the most beastly D, and the z6 is a good head? thanks for the CR

the compression is too high to be a good setup for boost.

Reasons why Forced Induction would be bad
- Compression ratio only a drag-car with a turbo would love.
- The pistons are still cast so they aren't any stronger
- We're still debating if the Y8 is better than the Z6 in some applications, appearances can be deceiving.
- Z6 is a good head, I'll give you that

is it really that high? you might want to try and get the new blox manifold for the d series. looks promising... keep in mind i said looks lol
