HELLPPPPP ** just got in deep sh*t - fender ** HELP
Hey guys,
I don't know I may have the worst luck. I bought some wheels today and put it on.
Somehow, the left front one's lugs was loose and I forgot to bring my jack with me.
So as I was going home from the freeway my wheel flew off, luckily it was 11:30pm no car were there and it was on the side of the streets, i veered steered and got to safety.
Now my fender's damaged and so is my brakes, irony how I just bought some brake rotors , pads, calipers for my car yesterday.
I'm wondering how hard is it to remove the fender? since the fender's curved in.
Anyone pleaseee tell me specifics on how to remove left front fender for 96 honda accord V6?
oh and why everytime i drive...i hear some noises, like scratching and scraping and squeaking noises...help

well, the reason why you are hearing the scratch sound is that something is in contact between moving parts like tires against the inner side of fender or something else.

I'm not an auto body guy by no means, but to take the fenders off it's a series of screws and bolts. Bolts (2 or 3) can be found where the hood meets the fender in the engine compartment. There are screws (2 or 3) in the wheel well, where the splash guard connects to the fender. Then I think there are more bolts in the door jams. I don't think there are any surprises or hidden bolts. I never took mine totally off, but I did loosen it to replace my headlights. Sorry about your accident and I hope I helped a lil' bit. Good luck!
I don't think it's a matter of bad luck or good luck, you sir are an idiot.
By now we should have learned how to tighten all bolts firmly, they aren't just going to come loose, it's a matter of you tightening them and retightening them. Wheels don't just go flying off, you live and learn. I'm in a bad mood as it is, this isn't helping.

lol thanks
i just spend 5 hours in hell...but its ok. i am an idiot.

There is one bolt that the side skirt blocks. Its the only bolt I could not get out because I didn't know how to remove the side skirt. =|
3 bolts you can see from the engine compartment, i think 2 when u swing the door open and use a wrench... and take off the fender lining and look around. I dont remember every single bolt, but i know the side skirt was the only hard to see/remove one.

it looks like you might need to fix up that door too... but im not sure...
i was putting it on, but then some people came to the garage and i forgot about the front left one, i only used my hands, i didn't realized that.
ah well, lessons to be learned.
but the door's alright, everything else is OK, the fender just need to be replaced, anyone know how much the OEM would cost? yea...i can't take the side skirt off for some reason o_O

to take the skirt off you gotta take the front mudflap off and all the plastic pop in screw type things along the bottom, then all you gotta do is slide it forward.. it might be kinda hard so you might wanna use a rubber mallot to persuade it..
Oh, you want to get the fender off? OK, first, you'll need to remove the bumper, wheel liner, and side skirt. You'll see two bolts near the front behind the bumper, one of which bolts the headlight in position as well. There are 3 bolts under the hood. Open your door, and you'll see two other bolts to remove, and there are two bolts behind where the side skirt was. And oila! It's ready to be tossed in the dumpster.
huh? wtf r u talking about?
i don't get it, and isn't it "you're" ?
hahaah now you hear noises when you drive the car like that?

oh by the way, the reason the wheel fell off was the lugs
DO NOT ever use acorn style lugs with tuner wheels (slap myself)
