Default Coolant smell after vtec...

Im scarred it could be the headgasket? Its definately coming from teh vents after i drive aggresively. Definately coolant.

I have no overheating issues

I have no oil in radiator or overflow

I do have what appears to be coolant stains/drips on parts of my block but i cant trace the source.

I have high comp pistons..could it be headlift? Can i definately rule out the head gasket or no?

Car made good power on teh dyno and runs strong.

check the heater hose and coolant line on your intake manifold.

clean it all very thoroughly and then start looking. It should be easy to find that way.

If it's what I think. get a pressure tester for the coolant system. it will force the leak to show it's self quickly.

Check the seam around the top of the radiator. This sometimes leak, which would explain the coolant on the engine.

It's silly but, I once didn't put the hose clamp back on one of the lines on the bottom of my TB. Once the car got real hot it would leak a little out of that hose. I agree with the guy that says to clean it and than test under pressure.

i think i found few drops of coolant on the floor of my garage.. and it was right underneath the thermostat housing..

but i haven't had chance to fix that problem yet.

i can't smell coolant when i drive it hard.. i sometimes smell the coolant when i give sudden throttle at lower rpm
