Default f22b6 help

OK heres the thing I know its not in an accord, but we have one so.... its an Oddessy. 1996 Honda Oddessy, F22b6, AUTO. obdII,

Did, Timing Belt, Balance Shaft belt, head gasket, oil pan gasket, ALL gaskets,
dropped tranny, rear main seal, front main seal, all O rings replaced, and fixed axle problems and Regular maintainence items, oil, tranny fliud, plugs wires.

everything went back together fine. went to start it up. turns over fine. no start. cheched for spark
listened for fuel pump
I dont think its getting injector pulse?
Also the main relay clicks while im turning it over?
And when I pull the tranny into D2 with the key on the D4 indicator blinks and I hear a clicking from under the dash

ok I tried the main relay out of my brother-in-laws Accord
and visa-versa....no dice.

I went out (I hate OBD-2) and bought a scan tool

plugged it in, started right up. gave it 1/4 throttle, check engine light comes on.....pull code and its a P1361, crankshaft position sensor.

ok my book says to test the sensor and it should rear between 500-1000 ohms
(keep in mind this is a 96 oddessy) later models read differently (between 2.4-3.6K ohms) the CKP sensor that I pulled out of the car is reading 2.14k ohms
so autozone has one in stock, I take my multimeter with me to check it before I buy it. Sure enough it reads the same as the one I have.

am I retarded or what?

I dunno someone help me my 1 year old nephew has to have EYE surgery next week and my sister needs her van back

yeah im about to go nuts...

since the other day ive:

1. cleaned the EGR port

2.checked continuity between CPK/TDC sendoe and ECU.

3. Removed timing cover about 5 times, checked crank /cam timing, straight up.

4 tested various other things.

5. tried the old sensor

6.pulled out my hair.

7. checked ECU (visually)

8.oh and the "hall effect" rotor is integral with the lower timing gear....so you cant put it on backwards...

tried all of this, crank it up rev it about twice CEL comes on , pull codes and get a P1361???????????????????????????????????

did you ever clear the CEL's?

i mean if you positive everything is perfect then maybe the computer is just re reading stored codes. If you're timing was off you'd be running like crap as im sure you know, and if your not then i dunno, i guess i wouldn't worry too much about it?

but i've never done timing, so bump for someone to help you

wait, the Ohms are way too high. is there anyway to plug it in backwards or have a bad connection? and how did you test the autozone one?

yeah i cleared the CEL...it comes right back on

not worry too much about it....closed loop sets a 3500 rpm revlimiter and about 85 mph?

no way to plug it in backwards

same way i tested the factory one

I dont believe its the sensor.........................

if you have a dealership local to you, maybe you could go down and talk to them about it, and explain your problem.

Hi there,
Did you find out what the problem was? I'm in the exact same boat (1997 Odyssey), except mine won't start. It's been 3 months since the engine and tranny swap and I've done everything but change the CKP sensor (which tested at 2.19) . I haven't plugged in the OBDII scanner yet, I'm about to do that now in hopes it'll trigger something. Please get back to me and let me know what, if anything, ever came of this. I appreciate it!
