how about when u run aem system? and why do u need the resistor box?

 

i Think the only thing that effects this is what ecu and OBD a system is designed to work for.

the AEM system should come with instructions ad to what style injectors it wants you to use.

for OEM setups, you need to go with the ECU and/or OBD system you are running.

the engine itself doesn't know or care what injectors your using.

so, I have a 99 si and I have a p06 ecu that im using for the boost setup. Should I go for P&H or Saturated. its obviously an obd2 car, but it has a p06....so should I go for p&h plus a resistor box or am I still good to just get some sats? thanks.
Seems like i should just stick to sats because a p06 is from 92+. what do y'all thing.

 

peak and hold are low impedence injectors which require 7-12 ohms to operate.

saturated injectors are high impedence injectors which require no resistor box.

the difference is the actual injectors themselves. saturated injectors work better with the ECU and thats why honda started using them in '92. Although you cant get large injectors over 750cc that are saturated, that is usually enough.

a p06 is a non vtec ecu... was it converted? i would go with RC 750cc saturated because you wont need to wire up a resistor box and its more than you will need. I had to get 1000cc injectors so I had to go through the pain of wiring up 10ohm resistors.

yes the p06 is converted. im running low boost, so i think 550 is the most ill need. (stock internals and 7-10 lbs of boost. )

why get 550s? why not be safe and get bigger injectors? 550s are only safe to 285 hp @ 80% duty with 45psi fuel.

you've got a point. but...do you think my car will make 285 hp on 10 lbs with a totally stock b16a2?
Lets say i did get 750s...would they be efficient at less than 285hp?

 

people think that if they get injectors that are bigger than what they need, their cars are going to run bad. its not the case! when people get HUGE injectors, they have problems at low rpm because the duty cycle is so low. you will be fine!
