Do i have to remove the value cover to get to the top dead center sensor, if so what does it look like? Also i am having a hard time located a good parts list for my 1st gen b16. To replace the plugs, wires, dizzy cap, rotor button, and top dead center sensor, what car or engine do i ask for . I have searched all over. Someone please point me toward a good list. Is it poosible to get a manual on just the engine? thanks

The top dead center (tdc) sensor is located in the distributor. Unless you have a anti-tamper torx bit and you know how to disassemble a distributor, you can't really replace it. Plus, you can't just buy a particular sensor for the distributor, you need to buy the whole distributor.

Sparkplugs=94-97 Del Sol VTEC or 99-00 Si
Wires= any B-series VTEC motor
Cap and Rotor=88-91 Civic/CRX or 90-91 Integra
Most other parts can be used from a 94-97 Del Sol VTEC or 99-00 Si

 

I have also read that on DOHC's the sensor is on the camshaft.

 

Anybody with the parts list?
