GSR question.
I searched but couldent find a direct or definate answer.... I have a B18C motor in my 00 hatch running on a P30 ECU OEM type R header apexi N1 exhaust and a whale ***** intake with a sunk2 intake mani....my buddy just yanked the stock cams out of his JDM B18C5... and is willing to sell them to me for 200...they look in good shape but im wondering if it is safe to just drop them into the B18C? i have herd that type R cams are to agressive for the GSR's stock valve train, any experianced opinions? also will i get much power out of it? or am i gonna spend 2 bills for 1 hp?

ITR cams are only a LITTLE more aggressive than GSR cams, but you need to take the GSR intake springs, swap them over to the exhaust, and get ITR intake springs. This will keep them from "floating" at higher RPM's.
btw search Team-Integra.net they have the best info on these things.

you can use your stock valvetrain if you keep the stock rev limit. if you want to rev higher you need itr intake springs.

plus you might want to get the car tuned with the modification rather than running the stock P30 ecu

just go on ahead and use those cams. its safe. im running skunk stage1's in my gsr for 3 years now.. stock valvetrain.. no problems at all. that p30 ecu can be ok for now.. but tuning is the way to go
