Went to the track again...
Went to the track last night, and well..last time I ran 16's on 10 degrees retarded timing...
Went back fixed...
r/t .920
60 2.450
330 6.619
1/8 10.014
mph 72.31
1000 12.948
1/4 15.418
mph 91.15
Not bad, not good, how do you guys get your 2.2 60's man. I'm launching between 4 and 5k kinda a dump/slip. I'm not powershifting. Also full intierior minus jack and spare and other misalanious things..
I know I can pull low 15's w/ better 60's.
p.s. I just got my vavles all tightend a couple days ago. Now I notice a "slight" ticking at idle, and it doesn't seem to be rising as I accerlate. Also, when I have the hood up and am listning I can't hear it, even when I pull the throttle cabel, but when I close the hood, there it is...??? Maybe something's stuck under there...but it wasn't doing that before the track.

stripping the interior would help lower your 60. i also couldnt get it lower than 2.3 with full interior, but i pulled a 15.0 with that time otherwise i was running 15.1 with 2.4's. i felt like i was launching as well as possible but with practice i guess theres always room to improve
I say take a little weight out of car, and play with the psi in tires. Btw what tires are these runs. My advice just keep practicing it took my about 3 trips to the track to finally run consistent 2.3 60 ft on yokahoma paradas on some heavy 17' wheels back when my car was just bolt ons.
I'm running stock street tires. I lowered the tire pressure to 31 psi and dropped a tenth off my 1/4.
I'm just going to have to practice more. This is only my 2nd time.

You're doing fine... you're just starting! Lots of people do much worse. Don't be so hard on yourself and keep practicing... you'll get better each time.
NO ! I want 14.8's just like B18C DC2 R has !!!
But yea, next time I think I'll take the seats out. Lower psi to about 26, pull the power steering and maybe advance the timing.
How do you guys do it ??
Are pulling the p/s and gutting it and not telling us..hehehe.

taking the p/s belt off makes a pretty good difference, had a friend who was getting 15.0's and when he removed his p/s belt he ran a 14.7, try that and lowering your tire pressure to about 26 or 26 fot those 60' times
