Default OT-Wheel Spacers

guys, what the thickest spacers some of you have used without changing out the studs? im playing with the offset of some wheels i got for the R and using extended studs is something id like to avoid, but id like to maintain safety too. i havent had a chance to buy some spoon calipers yet, id love to, but i also know i'll be faced with this again in order for me to keep using my jdm 16 itr wheels. i know i'll need a 7mm spacer to comfortably fit the spoon caliper. atleast 8 full turns per lugnut right?

in your case, if you go beyond 7-8mm, i would order up a set of studs from the Acura TL

I ran into the same problem, I got the JDM 16's with spoon clappers. I tried out an 8mm spacer but was not comfortable with the amount of stud the lug-nuts grabbed. The 5's work without the need for new studs. Here is my thread....

Next time I do bearings, I will get the TL 3.2 series rear studs

Not to thread jack...but what does everyone think about buying a set of QUALITY 15mm spacers and machinging them down to whatever size you want?? I don't see why it wouldn't work. Obviously you need longer studs...but this way you could get a set of hubcentric spacers and have them machined to whatever size you want. This is for sizes greater than 5mm obviously since H&R already makes a 5mm one. Just a though.

What about just buying a 10mm and machinging it down??

Haha well that would be the obvious answer...but I couldn't find any good 10mm spacers. Both H&R and Ichiba jump from 5mm to 15mm...

Refer to the pictures in my thread. I'll try to get some new ones up, but some people are not comfortable with that spacing. On track I will be going back to the stock 15's, not necessarily because of the clearance though.
