need some EXTREME help

Default need some EXTREME help

not really but anyone know where i can get a V-TEC wiring kit for a D16Y8 or D16Z6??

I don't think there is such a thing.

You just need the wiring harness from the head which you have. Either harness wont work, it has to match the head/solenoid.

Which motor/head do you have?

I bet he was trying to "Add" Vtec to a non-vtec engine without swapping the head and ECU.

sorry for the stupid question and ya i know i need to do ALOT of research... ive got a D15b7 but im most likely gona get a D16z6 and to complete the swap i need to get a vtec wiring harness right??

If you have an ej 4+ civic just get a y8 head, harness, and ECU and misc. parts and you'll be fine. Do a search for the mini-me.

cant do mini-me.. ive got a spun bearing and i dont wanna waste money trying to rebuild it so im just gona get a d16z6 longblock... ive got a 95 Civic but thanks for the help and the link.. i should be fine

yea man, if you get the complete swap....make sure you get the wiring harness and the ECU for it....the ECU is whats programed to engage VTEC....but you gonna need the vtec harness to plug the vtec solenoid like EK FOREVER GUY said and you should be good to go..

ok what ur gonna do is go to radio shack and buy some wire then thay carry these thing called soldering irons next buy some fluxcore solder and some shrink tube. post back when u have completed those objectives
