Troube with coversion(wont start)!!!!!!
I just did my auto to manual conversion on my 5th gen and it wont start. I put on a 4th gen jdm tranny and also have brand new starter. Also did conversion on my ecu to amnual for the check engine codes to turn off. But i am getting the d4 blinking and the srs is also on. Is there a possability i hooked up the starter wrong but i might be missing something! But dont think so!!!
On the back of the clutch pedal there is a lockout switch you need to wire that to the neutral/park lockout switch or at least thats what you do in a 4th gen.
well someone said you have to ground it cause it might have stayed in drive but it didnt work. Do you happen to know what color it is?????? Or where it is located on the console!!!!
u gotta wire up the shifter wires to make the car still think it's in park. I forget exactly which wire colors they are. But u have to wire the one of the big black ground wires to the park wire, just fuse em together, then the car will think it's in park and allow power to the starter solenoid.
