i have 90crxsi, and recently had my AC freon charged, and fixed from the shop, but before they could make my AC system work, they said i needed a new ECU, cause mine was bad,..........so i got a new one, off of ebay, but its a locash modified ECU, and now my AC works, along with the new ECU i installed.
now its driving really great, and here comes the problem, which just happened last night, coming back from downtown dallas at a concert
i was in really stopped traffic exiting a concert, and me and my friend were listening to a cd, and the first thing that acted funny was my cd player stopped working right, and so i turned the car off, (cause i needed to unlock my lockbox behind my seats to get something), and went to start it again, and it did'nt start
..............so i got someone to jump it for me, and it started instantly.
........so thought it was fine, and we were back on our way home, but just noticed my headlights, blinker, etc. did'nt work, and the next stop light i went to, car died.
ok, now i had someone jumpstart it like 4 times, and each time, it started instantly, but then died in like a minute.
so, i just got it towed home.
ok, the car has 150,000 on it, but is good working condition, but the thing that seems odd is that this happened like a week after i just put my new (modded) ECU installed, and the recent AC system work?
so, i just put my description on here, just to gather peoples opinions on what they think it might be, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Alternator and/or battery. Get the battery tested at Sears or the auto parts and you can also have the alternator tested. I don't think the Ecu has anything to do with this. You said that all they did was recharge the air and not fool with the electrics for it-so there should be no shorts to cause a heavy load.
Good luck
Good luck
it wouldnt be the battery b/c the alternator charges the battery. The same thing happened to me, we got jumped 5 times to get home. Take the alternator to your local auto parts store, they usually do alternator, starter and battery testing for free.

ok, thanks for the opinions, probably the alternator, cause i had my battery tested about 2 months ago, and they said it was a good one.

ok, let me update on whats happening now, .........
i took the battery out, got it tested at O'Reilly's auto parts for free, and they said it was good.
i took it back, put it back in the car, and continued on getting ready to install a new alternator, but...........suddenly i went out sunday night, just to try and start it, and it started up fine, and i thought it would drop like before, but instead, it kept running idling at 800rpm smoothly, and i actually drove it for 20 minutes back and forth around my block, (close by in case it stalled again), and so i had no problems, and now i am just completely confused on why i had those problems with headlights, cd player, tach, blinkers, hazards etc... on friday night??????, plus the 140 towing????
i just hope it stays like this, and maybe it was something like a simple loose terminal connector, but maybe i can just drive the car to get the alternator tested, without taking it out or something tomorrow, just to make sure.

sure enough, they tested the alternator, and it was good, so i don't know what it is now, just some short in the electrical system i guess, but i am still worried about getting stalled out and stranded like i did in this original post on top of this page, but i gotta figure out what it is.
any one have any ideas what i can do?
it did'nt show any trouble codes on ecu, and i looked at wires and connector and fuses, and there are'nt any broken fuses, plus alternater and battery connections are tight, and in good condition.

i wonder if the place that tested your battery cleaned up the terminals some?
also, you could be right about the loose terminal connection.
i guess you just gotta keep driving it and see what happens...
