Hahaha crazy people and price quote.
Haha. Well my Eibach springs and Tokico struts will be in tomorrow. At this time I really dont have the time to put them on (full time job and college student) Plus my garage is full and I cant fit the car in and its -6 degrees so I cant do it outside at the moment.
Well so I called around to a few shops to see how much they would charge. The springs are already on the struts with the top hats. Well I called meinike and the guy quote me over $600 to put them on and do an alignment. I just started to laugh and hang up.
I can not believe they would charge that much, it honestly can not take them more then 2 hours to put them on. That is some **** right there.
So I am just going to have to wait till it gets warmer and take a day off of work to do it.

I know how, I have done spring strut installs numerous times.
Like I said its just -6 degrees outside and I have no room in my garage so I am just going to have to wait till weather gets warmer.
But that price is crazy.

Well there are no performance shops in my area so I am limited to where I could go. I called midas but there was no answer, thats really about it unless I drive about 30-45minutes to the closest city.
I am just going to wait untill it gets to about 40 degrees then I will do it.

You don't have to take it to a performance shop. Any shop should be able to install a suspension for you.
as for meinike wanting to charge you $600+ for install, that is nuts. I can do it with hand tools in my garage on jack stands in about an hour if I don't have any rusted/rounded off bolts, or problems with the LCA bolts.
Hell I wouldn't charge you very much if you were closer, but good luck.
Oh and Sears is out of their freaking minds too. My brother needed tie rod ends replaced on his crx and they wanted over $700 for parts, labor and alignment. I laughed and put them on myself and only paid about $25 for parts (other brother works at Orielly's) and only charged him one night of free babysitting my son.
Good luck

Haha, yeah its insane. Yeah when I do spring installs I just use jack and stands and basic tools, and it usually only takes me about 2 hours if I dont run into any problems such as; rusted bolts or breaking the heads off of them.
I wanted to have it lowered this week, but I am just going to have to wait for warmer weather.
Ps where are you located?

yeah, this is the most common problem with integras. the rear bolts rust to **** and it takes massive amounts of time and work to get them off. even then, $600 is a joke. a friend of mine with an SI had a shop put his suspension on, they ran into a problem with rusted rear bolts which took over an hour to take off... ended up costing under $300.

When I did mine (the first suspension job ever) i went to honda and bought some new ones for when it happened. They are still in a baggie in my tool box. I had absolutley no problem with mine.

I was quoted $200+ over the phone from the Acura dealership for putting on an oil pan gasket. Right now I don't have a place to do the work, but I will not pay that much to unbolt 18 small bolts and then bolt them back up with a new gasket.
