No, you can't. The VAFC does not and can not replace the ECU for functioning. You need a P28.

you can convert to auto to manual ecu you have to remove rp17 and rp18 then put in a jumper on rp18. the will take way the auto trans in the ecu.

@ OP: This link isn't an answer - but it has the answer in it - which I copied/pasted here for you as the following:

And he said...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by eg6ajk &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">no need to chip it if you want to keep the stock program. honda designed and built with most hardware to be quickly interchangable between trannies.

take a look at the following jumpers in the lower right hand corners of the ECU,
RP17 and RP18 values:

Auto to Manual:
remove RP17 and RP18
replace RP18 with a jumper wire

</TD></TR></TABLE>

Pretty much what evilsolb16 says, but that has pictures.

Hope that helps ya .

That picture that the other guy said kinda sux, so I took the liberty of doing some searching for you and came up with this:

http://hondaswap.com/~pills/autotomanual.html

Not the best picture, but it puts it in perspective as to where on the ECU you'll be working on.

http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...anual

There's a better version for the pictures, gives you a close up of what you're working on.

Really check out that second link, the pictures there are great!!
