p28 ecu
have a question. i have a jdm d15b vtec in a 92 hatch dx. i picked up an ecu from a guy for a 94 auto ex for 20 bucks. i plugged this into my stock d15b7 before i swapped my motor to be sure it worked and the thing ran alot better, so i left it in. of couse the cel was on so i just unplugged the light while i waited for my d15b to get here. no that its in the car, will the d15b run on the auto ecu. im just curious cause the car isnt running right now because when i bought the motor the dist. has a bad coil and igniter unit in it. so im waiting for a vx dist to get to me. but i was wondering if the redline and vtec activation were the same for the auto as the manual? and if anyone knows anyting about converting it to manual?

Re: p28 ecu (a1320honda)
Yes, the VTEC activation and fuel maps are the same but the ECU is going to be quite unhappy not seeing the Automatic tranny.
I suggest looking into a manual ECU or sending your P28 to be chipped for manual.
You can contact "Katman" for more information or check out his information about ECUs on http://www.jdmhondaparts.com under the ECU section.
