quick question. can i use a 92-95 engine harness for sohc vtec in my 89 hatch if i get the right ecu and jumper harness, dizzy, injectors, etc? thanks for the help guys.

 

no u have to use your stock harness

 

yeah but it is a dpfi. this is why i havent screwed wit the car yet. i can put a carbueretor on my malibu and be done with it...lol...i just want to do it as cheap as possible and do it one time, not half a$$

 

You have to convert your DPFI harness to MPFI, then add the OBD-1 conversion harness into the mix. Pretty much, check wires 4 times, then cut and add.

 

just use your stock harness...all you have to do is convert to MPFI

 

thanks for the help, i found an mpfi write up. i just want it to be right, reliable, and not half ***, i am a ase certified mechanic i am not afraid to do the work i just want to know the cheapest and best way to do it. thanks guys.
