i had a race going the other day. vs a prelude. i have a 95 civic with 94 gsr with ls tranny. this is my problem. i had him and i was ready to shift into 2nt gear. exept it wouldnt go in. so bascically i missed. at 8.5 rpm i cant go into gear. what do you guys suggest. just get more muscle? or replace tranny.

 

Was it grinding when u tried to put it in gear? Probly should rebleed ur clutch and make sure u got plenty of clutch fluid in the reservoir, I had a problem like this a while back up at the drag every time I tried to shift it would grind up high because I was low on clutch fluid and the clutch wasn't disengaging all the way.

 

the slave cyl is probably weak.

 

true ill give that a quick check. i got stage 2 clutch. with stock flywheel. im getting new clutch and flywheel soon though. maybe thats y.

 

y would u put a gsr motor with a ls tranny??? get a gsr tranny or b16

 

because i got a b16 motor with a ls tranny with the car. than i traded the b16 with a gsr. i have no money to do anything. so i just hooked everything up. plus ls tranny longer gears good for forced induction which im going soon son!!

 

ok yea ls tranny good for boosted if ur goin highway tuned 1/4 deff b16 or gsr

 

yup. cant go wrong with free. how hard would it be to find a mint trann with no grinds. either b16 or gsr. 300 bucks is my budget. i got hydrolic in my 95 civic.

 

mint 300 wont do it 900 will mint from a jspec shop search around could maybe get one for like 500

 

ohh dam expensive stuff im thinking about here. haha. i pretty much dont care if its b16, gsr, or ls tranny. as long as it wont grind any gears and it fits my civic. hydro clutch.

 

ya the 2nd gear on the tranny is fukd the synchros are done. i know because it was MY car.

 

yah i got my gsr tranny from autosalvage yard for 500 and its perfect. you might need to replace your synchros if you can find another tranny with good ones id switch em out. thats cheap if you know what your doing..
