What exactly are you trying to do? What crank do you plan on using. You cant use gsr rods in a ls block with a ls crank using stock pistons.

you must match the rods with the crank so gsr rods = gsr crank ls rods=ls crank and have the crank polished and measure for bearings at a local machine shop

okay i guess what i missed is that the rods are longer in the gsr than the ls rods. but can you retang ls rods to accept gsr bearings? i know this can be done with b16's. by using the gsr bearing it's narrower, and less surface friction.

guy explain the point of this question please. you must use the rods that match the crank and the bearings that match that combo its that simple.

well example by using the gsr rod bearings in a b16. the bearings are narrower thus less surface friction than the stock b16 bearings. So i would like to know if the gsr bearings could be used on the ls rods, if they were retanged

Yes they can.It was done a lot ten or so years ago. There is no good reason to do it.The bearings run on an oil film so there is no noticeable difference in friction do to width.
