Default unknown block pieces

i was taking my block apart and two pieces fell off. i have no idea where they go when installing it back in. anyone know where it goes and how to put it back on, please help. thanks.

those are the crankshaft thrust washers. they go in the groove on both sides of the #4 main web (in the block). the grooved side of the bearing faces the crank.

does the two end face the inside of the block or the outstide? does it fit in perfectly? will it not be able to install if you don't put them in? i'll probably just figure it out when i put it on. but thanks

There is nothing special about their fitment, just make sure you put the sides that have the groves facing out.

you need to install them before the crank goes back in, and you better get some new ones cause those are trashed.
