Blower,radio, and shift interlock problem
'92 Accord DX. Intermittent symptoms: ignition switch on, radio and blower won't come on, grinding sound when taking shift lever out of park. No trouble codes.
At other times, all is normal. Recent work: replaced alternator, replaced stereo.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

double check the wires at the new stereo. If there is a power wire touching ground in the area it could keep other things from working; an example.... the blower motor has to have 12 volt positve on one lead and ground on the other lead, if there is 12 volts on the ground side then there is no voltage difference.
12 volts plus 12 volts will equal zero volts.

Hi,
The stereo installation was with a Honda-specific connection kit. There were some butt joint crimp connectors, but I was pretty careful. Looking at the wiring diagrams, the heater relay and the radio, both seem to be in circuit with with ELD and the Integrated Control Unit. Are these likely culprits, or long shots?
Thanks!
