Why is this connector taken off, Please Help
I recently bought my first ever honda, prelude 4th gen Si Vtec 4ws AUTO, under the bonnet, i noticed the car had a boost pressure valve, and also a connector (shown below) was unplugged,
the car drives (the speedo doesnt work though) with the connector off but feels very sluggish, i was wondering if the connetor was taken of because of the boost valve, and should i put it back on,

Any Help Appreciated
Thanks in Advance

That's the EGR in the first pic...it should throw a CEL (check engine light) with it disconnected like that. I'd plug it back in.
That 'boost valve' as you call it, looks like a fuel pressure regulator. Can you post a more zoomed-out pic of that to see how it's hooked up?

Hi,
the CEL in ON, but the sport light is flashing and the 4WS light comes on, but i thought that was due to the speedo not working,
would it make a difference if i plug the connector back in?
Thanks

I assume that the car is auto and the flashing light refers to the sports auto box ? That will occur if the VSS is faulty as you say the speedo isn't working, also the 4ws system reads off the VSS so that will disable itself causing the light to come on, they need that sensor to give readings to them. Best bet get a new VSS to get the speedo working, replace the EGR connector and reset your ECU to see how things go.

Haha, yep, that's definately a FPR...what is it set at?
It looks like a cheap-o ebay special. You might try to find a stock regulator and replace that one.
