Valve Cover Bolts
How tight should i tighten it down?? i just got done reading the post on the guy who broke one off and thats what im worried about, im taking if off tommorow to spray aircraft remover on it 2 take it down 2 the bare(sp?) metal, please help, TIA...
Yeah they snap very easily if tightened the slightest bit more than what is called for. I've snapped 2 of them
But they are easy as hell to replace the only thing is that each stud bolt is about $8 at the dealer.
When tightening your valve cover if I remember correctly they should be tightened to 7lbs. Just make sure you have a torque wrench, don't just guess at how much weight you are applying.

If you break one, just go buy another stud from the dealer. Just remove valve cover, remove stud from cam cover and put new one in. Then put everything else back together
