Default vtec not working pr3j00 ecu throwing code 7

i have a b16a1 in my 88 crx si and its not going into vtec my ecu is thrownig code 7 please help thanks

7 is throttle angle. clear the code and it should work.

did you unhook your battery for 10+ seconds?

im not saying that to be a dick but that is the first stage you always take before you try and fix the problem. If it clears than why bother. From my understanding you need a PGM-FI tester. there is probably another way to check it but i dont know about it

ok thanks well my check battery light is coming on and im pretty sure thats the reason why its not going into vtec but for clearing that code i did unhook my battery and its still there =\

code 7 is the TPS unplug it and check to make sure its getting power and ground... and the batter light coming on is not why vtec isnt kicking in its probably the altenator... the batter shouldnt have anything to do with it
