Default Car almost dying in traffic

Ok tonight I was on the highway and after driving probably about 12 miles i hit some bad traffic. Anyway it was bumper to bumper for about 2 miles. I would put the car in first gear go out 20 feet and push in the clutch and hold it in and leave it in 1st while i sat as long as we began moving again within like 10 seconds because normally at lights and stuff i put it in neutral. Anyway i would push the clutch in and as i came to a stop the car's idle would droppp very very low about to stall out. One time the CEL came on for a second and then came off as i threw it in neutral and gave it some gas. After that i put the car in neutral instead of just pushing the clutch in and it seemed to work better, i also turned my fog lights off. What could the problem be ? I drove about 12 miles at around 75 mph so the battery should have been fully charged. Any ideas ?

well it threw a cel for like a second just before it was about to stall then i gave it alitle gas and it went away. The cel disappeared right away and hasnt reappeared. It was on for a total of about .01 seconds literally.

A bad lambda can do this. My H22 died in trafic several times before I got the lambda sensor replaced.

The o2 sensor is less than 2 weeks old theres no way. And i double checked the part number before i installed it so im sure its the right one.

I had this problem also. Mine threw code 17 which is the VSS (speedo was not working). I think it put it in limp mode or something but everytime I was at a stop sighn my idle would drop way down. I didn't fix it yet. I just turned the idle screw and have temporarily fixed it, runs well so far.
