HELP:Wiring Hatch/Cargo/Trunk Dome Light???
hi. i've got a Vx and recently picked up the rear cago dome light from a Si. it just has 2 wires that i assume wire to an always active positive connection and ground. i'm pretty sure i don't have a hatch door sensor that would turn on the light when the door is open. so i'd be happy just flipping the switch up and down to turn it on/off. i looked at the wiring in the wire loom going to all the rear lights and found a match for the positive, i believe. A "Green wire w/ Silver spots". can someone please verify that for me before i go splicing? appreciate any help you can offer. thanks for your time.
you can either run a wire from the fuse box for the power and ground one of the wires or you can splice into the domelight's constant power wire (use a test light)located at the driver's side b-pillar and ground one of the wires to the chassis. the later is what I did

I thought that this was already covered

Ill have to look at my hatch, but I think thers a plug or something on the tailgate. I do know there is some sort of sensor that triggers a light on your cluster that tells you that your hatch is open, so look around where the glass and hatch meet up, Im sure theres something.
