Default my friend clutchless shifts in his supra

this is shifting without using the clutch. he pulls it from gear to gear with his foot off of the clutch??? it seems a lil harder to throw in, but he can only do it while not gassing. To my understanding, you can do this with any tranny on any car. the advantage is that the rpm drop is minimal. Bad thing is that the shift is not as smoothe.....anyone know if this kills the tranny or not??? anyone use this technique....this can only be done below 6000 rpm
