Default B16A Hydro S4C transmission in a GSR - user opinions?

I searched - I found some for sale threads. I also found some thread saying the B16A tranny was great for a street driven gsr, not the interstate. But, I did not find anything regarding the S4C transmission, in particular.

Can anyone comment on how good this addition will be to a daily driven GSR - I don't mind it being a higher revving engine, per say!

Anyone does this with the S4C tranny or have more information on the S4C tranny - that would help greatly!

Thanks!

The S4C transmission is the b16a hydraulic transmission...Just you're looking at the tag on the transmission whereas most people use the code on the engine it comes mated to (b16)

Thanks, I thought YS1 was the B16A code - which is type R maybe? So, would it work well on my GSR and help it rev up faster?

yes it would rev up faster and result in a quicker quarter mile

if you do alot of highway driving though i wouldnt reccomend has youll be in a higher rpm at a certain speed compared to the geezr tranny, but for racing only it will be a difference

no highway driving. The wife's speed6 gets to do take care of that stuff. Mine is a in-town driver.

I've got an S4C on my gsr motor but my tranny has an LS 5th gear so I can still take roadtrips.
I love this setup. The gsr tranny has a huge gap between 1st and 2nd; 2nd gear is so tall in that tranny. With B16 tranny 1-4 is great for around town, the gears feel really short compared to the gsr tranny.
Then I jump on the freeway and put it in 5th and cruise at like 3k rpm.
